Roger
A Wirth, Shareholder
Roger A. Wirth emphasizes general
business, civil litigation, real estate litigation,
construction litigation, and matrimonial law. Over
the years, his areas of practice have been quite
broad. He has been requested to lecture on a number
of topics such as real estate transactions and
bankruptcy law, construction laws and litigation,
mobile home park laws, state court jurisdiction,
state court rules, litigation techniques, and matrimonial
law.
Mr. Wirth pursued his higher education
at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (B.A., 1968;
J.D., 1970). He then moved to Nevada to serve as
law clerk for Chief Justice David Zenoff of the Nevada
Supreme Court, 1970-71. Mr. Wirth authored or co-authored
the articles, "To Merge or Not to Merge; What
was the Question?" Nevada Family Law Register,
April 2000; "Joint Custody in Nevada: Time for
Reform?" Nevada Family Law Reporter, Winter
1989; and course materials,
"Drafting and Litigating Prenuptial Agreements
in Nevada". He has also served as an instructor
of Business Law at Clark County Community College.
As a member of the State Bar of
Nevada, he has served as the chairman of the Practice,
Procedure and Legislature Committee, and as a member
of the Executive Committee of the Business Law Section,
the Family Law Executive Council and Disciplinary
Board.
Mr. Wirth is a past member of the Board of Directors of the Nevada Law Foundation, Board of Directors of the YMCA and the Board of the Nevada Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation. He has also devoted time to several other boards or committees acting as liaison between the courts and practitioners, and revising court rules.
